Acknowledgement to Country

"I am grateful to be living and learning on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people. I acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land. I pay my respects to the ancestors who have walked this ground before me and to the Elders who continue to share their wisdom today. As a designer and student of architecture, I acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people as the first architects and caretakers of this Country. I honour their deep knowledge of the land and their sophisticated systems of land management. I am committed to learning from their principles of Caring for Country as I work toward a more regenerative and contextually sensitive built environment."
