About Me
Hello! I am Sammana, a Master of Architecture student at Curtin University, Perth and a Building Design Consultant with a decade of professional experience across Australia and Bangladesh. My early education and practice in Architecture is defined by a deep commitment to climate-responsive, energy-efficient, and contextually sensitive architecture.
Having migrated to Australia in 2017, I spent almost four years at a boutique firm based in Adelaide, where I mastered the nuances of the Australian residential landscape under the direct supervision of the Design Director—from initial client visioning to complex construction documentation.
Currently, I am completing my Master of Architecture at Curtin University, maintaining a High Distinction average (83%) and receiving multiple letters of Commendation from the Head of DBE (School of Design and Built Environment) for my uni work. My current research and design interests are centred on Country-centred design and Regenerative placemaking principles, exploring how the built environment can better integrate with natural elements and respect the land it inhabits, to create kinship between Built and Unbuilt, Human and More-Than-Human species.
